How did you get your start?
It was a 'born into it' gift and nurtured by family

Who were you inspired by starting out?
All the makers in my Family, Great Grands and Grands and Father

What do you wish someone had told you when you were just starting out?
Go slow and enjoy the journey

Favorite diversion:
Sleep

Most treasured item:
My Children's works

Something people would be stunned to learn about you?
I sing

Single most pivotal point in your career?
When someone purchased my work

Time of day you are the most productive?
Early in the morning before everyone rises

Hardest thing for you:
Knowing when a piece is finished

Unnatural fear of:
The Dark and falling down the stairs

Favorite person in your field:
Kerry James Marshall

What the world needs more of:
Love & LIGHT

Strongest inspiration comes from:
Ancestors

Were there any fears you had to overcome to get to where you are today?
Knowing that I am enough and lighting the way forward for others.

What do you want people to know about you or your business?
It comes from my head, heart and hands.

What are you working on now?
James Baldwin Centennial Art Exhibit Celebration in Oakland, Chicago Detroit and Paris
